ABOUT

Just another millennial with a blog, if we’re being honest. I originally started blogging in college, back when blogging was just writing your random thoughts and sharing what you did over the weekend. It didn’t have to have an obvious reason or value to the reader. It was simply your space online to share what you wanted. When blogging became about making money and gaining followers, I lost interest. I recently decided to restart my blog when I moved from Wilmington, NC, to El Paso, TX, as a way for me to pass some time between jobs and write about my experiences in El Paso. If you’re reading this blog, you’re probably a friend or family member. If you aren’t, here’s a little bit about me:

A former military brat, I was born in upstate New York, but moved every couple of years until I was 15 years old and my family was stationed at Fort Bragg, NC. I lived in North Carolina from then until February 2022, almost 13 years. I called Wilmington, NC, home for almost 6 years and although I miss it dearly, I’m so thankful for the opportunity to explore El Paso and this side of the country.

I’m a licensed therapist and although I can’t ever provide therapy or advice on this blog, I enjoy sharing what works for me for my own mental health and self-care. I’ve found that connecting with people on a personal level and discussing my own mental health has been really helpful for a lot of people and for myself. That being said, what works for me may not work for you and I always encourage people to seek professional assistance if they feel they need it.

When I’m not at work, you’ll probably find me curled up on the couch reading a book, reading tarot cards, using my planner, or watching some sort of relationship-based reality tv show. If I’m not there, I’m out shopping, grabbing dinner, or enjoying drinks with my boyfriend. He makes sure I don’t stay in the house all the time like the hermit I aspire to be.
